I was born in the late 50s and I grew up with little desire to study and a strong aptitude for drawing. This is why I attended the Istituto Statale d’Arte in Florence: my dream was to become an advertising graphic designer.
In the 80s I started working in a real advertising agency and began my journey in communication leaving behind my colored pencils.
Nineties: computer graphics arrive. In a decade, I also abandoned the Magic Markers and the creative ideas found in travelling, books and exhibitions: with a click you can get anywhere without getting up from your chair.
New millennium: I’m ready to work alone as a freelance anticipating what would have been the Great Crisis of Advertising Agencies with a slow but inexorable diaspora of art directors, copywriters and graphic designers…
Over the years I apply everything I learned at school, in the agency and in the direct relationship with customers, namely the importance of planning, foreseeing and providing solutions by anticipating requests, to find my professional space in a market poor but, finally, interesting. These are not difficult years as it may seem, they are different years.
IT has changed the times and ways of carrying out the creative profession, sometimes flattening the results but, if you want to see the positive side, allowing more time for creative research: you spend the time you save for the realization of the idea to find her.
Today I offer my pencil, my mouse and, above all, my curiosity to anyone who wants to communicate by making my professional maturity available. I move between words, images, drawings and projects (as you can see by leafing through these pages) without fear or limits because communication needs all of this.
